Finding Comfort in Discomfort

Have you been faced with uncomfortable feelings? At some point or another, we all have.

New experiences tend to come with fresh feelings—and sometimes these feelings can be unsettling. Instead of fighting what you cannot change, try embracing the waves of discomfort. This can lead to a deeper understanding of what is truly bothering you.

Feeling Overstimulated?

Living in a world that moves so fast, it is easy to feel overstimulated by constant change. This can be extremely unsettling. When it feels like the world is spinning out of control around you think about what brings you joy.

Try Silcox’s self-soothing practice for finding peace

  1. Look around you, what do you see?
  2. Take a moment to feel your own skin, how does it feel?
  3. Repeat steps 1 & 2 until you feel like you are in control of your reality.
