Fatigue is not caused by a deficiency of energy boosters like caffeine, B vitamins or amino acids. You cannot solve this problem with ginseng, ginkgo or green tea alone. While fatigue is a very complex issue, there are effective Ayurvedic strategies that can help even the most stubborn cases. First, you must identify the cause of the energy debt, which is almost never the adrenals! Once the cause of the energy debt is understood, learn numerous strategies that can offer powerful and permanent solutions to your fatigue.

Ashwagandha: sometimes spelled ashwaganda and also known as Winter Cherry, is becoming a favorite adaptogen with many Western herbalists because of its unique properties. Translated, it means “the sweat or strength of ten horses,” alluding to its deeply nourishing and stabilizing properties. Unlike ephedra or ginseng, ashwagandha is not a stimulant. In the long run, a stimulant will leave the body depleted. By contrast, ashwagandha helps the body adapt to stress without unwanted stimulation, and in fact also supports natural sleep cycles by helping the body to maintain adequate energy levels to calm itself down and sleep restfully. In the daytime, it helps support the immune system and musculoskeletal systems, both of which may be negatively impacted by stress.

 

Liquid Sun Vitamin D3:OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA Vitamin D3 is known as “the sunshine vitamin” because it is produced by human skin when exposed to sunlight. It can also be obtained from food sources such as fatty fish, eggs, and liver. Fortified dairy and other products are usually fortified with D2, which doesn’t absorb as does D3. Supplementation may be the best way to get needed vitamin d3 levels. It is a fat soluble vitamin that is needed for calcium metabolism and healthy bones.

 

Regenerate: In Ayurveda there is an herb called shilajit, which is widely known in India as the “Destroyer of Weakness.” It is rich in rare constituents called fulvic and humic acids that the mitochondria use to make energy. So instead of boosting adrenals so they can borrow more energy, shilajit replenishes the deep energy-making centers of the body, the mitochondria. In one study, shilajit was able to help the mitochondria convert fat and sugar in the body’s main energy source, ATP.
