Body, Mind and Sport (paperback, 250 pages) is a best-selling book of health and holistic fitness through Ayurveda: How to reproduce the “zone” without pain and strain. Learn to enjoy exercise maybe for the first time ever with proper breathing, a proper individualized diet, and a lifestyle in harmony with nature. Body, Mind and Sport covers each of these and more in easy-to-read detail.
Ashwagandha (withania somnifera), sometimes spelled Ashwaganda and also known as Winter Cherry, is becoming a favorite adaptogen with many Western herbalists because of its unique properties. Translated, it means “the sweat or strength of ten horses,” alluding to its deeply nourishing and strengthening properties. When I was with the New Jersey Nets I gave this to all players before and after every game to boost stamina, immunity and performance.
Regenerate is a combination of predominantly Shilajit, with synergistic benefits of both Ashwagandha and Amalaki. Shilajit is known in India as “the destroyer of weakness.” For thousands of years Shilajit has been used to support energy, memory, absorption of vital nutrients, intelligence, healthy blood sugar, and detoxification. This is great oxygenator and and driver of energy from the mitochondria. Again this is a great pre and post workout supplement.
Nasya oil – Lubricate the sinuses before nasal breathing exercise to ward off unwanted mucus production. Sniff a couple of drops into each nostril and sniff before your next run – enjoy!

Dr. Douillard, your stuff is absolutely fascinating! You definitely have the abundance mentality; a person can get a world class education, with tons of passion, just by reading and listening to everything you post on your site. I’ve read your book, Body, Mind, Sport at least twice and am trying to figure out how to implement it. My life is very hectic and couldn’t get it together. So, I watched your longevity exercise podcast and loved it. One question: at the 39:40 mark, you said to inhale then exhale making the Darth Vader sound, but not contract your stomach. Then at 42:07 you state that you should take a deep breath in and a deep breath out, feeling your abdominal muscles contract…I’m not being critical; I just want to do it the right way. Should I consciously contract my ab muscles on the exhale? That’s basically my question. But, again thank you so much for your expert advise. I wish you would offer your Invisible Athletics seminar. For some people like me, it might be the only way I could really get the program right.
